Financial planning is the first step in the wealth management process, and nothing happens without it. Think of it as a thorough review of your financial life with the goal of making sure the various parts work together as an integrated whole.
At The Boyd Group, we rely on a coordinated approach to put financial planning into action.
1
We begin by getting to know you. We discuss your goals, objectives and expectations. What is your time frame? How much risk is appropriate for you to assume? Do you have defined financial needs going forward – buying a new home, children’s college education, a looming retirement? What problems could get in the way?
2
We create a comprehensive investment strategy designed to help you achieve your goals. The plan takes into account such issues as tax and risk management and retirement and estate planning. We typically deliver our recommendations in a face-to-face meeting, where we explain the plan in detail.
3
With your approval, we initiate the plan. We monitor the results on an on-going basis and adjust the investment strategy periodically based on variables like equity and bond market valuations and macroeconomic factors, as well as any changes that may occur in your personal financial situation.
