If you weren’t in the financial services industry, what would you be doing professionally?
I’d own and operate a “Girl Friday” service. That would allow me to continue to do what I love – interacting with and helping clients. As Boomers are moving into their retirement years, many are used to having someone “do it for them” while they lived and worked their busy lives. Now they no longer have that go-to person, and they find themselves needing a “handle it” person. That’s me!
Do you have a favorite quote?
Create a life so full, you don’t need a vacation.
What’s something about you that’s not generally known?
I was painfully shy until I reached the 9th grade. Geez, what happened?
Who has had the greatest influence on who you are?
My faith, first and foremost, because without Christ, I am nothing and can do nothing. My Mom made many sacrifices and worked extremely hard when I was growing up. She taught me to work hard not for the pay but because everything I do should be an example of what I am and stand for. My Dad taught me to love life, treasure those around me and, most of all, to enjoy the simple free pleasures given to me in daily life.
If there were a book about your life, what would the title be?
Down by the Riverside
